What we fix

If it has a battery, a motor, and a kid crying next to it, it belongs on our bench. The greatest hits:

Most common

Dead battery

Won't start, dies in ten minutes, or charges to nothing. The #1 ride-on killer — and usually the fastest fix on the bench.

Grinding gearbox

That clack-clack-clack death rattle is stripped gears. We rebuild or swap the box before it chews itself to bits.

One-wheel drive

Peg-leg burnouts mean a motor or gearbox is dead on one side. We get both wheels pulling their weight again.

Wiring gremlins

Cuts out over bumps, only runs when it feels like it. We hunt the gremlin down and solder it out for good.

Broken wheels

Cracked hubs, chewed-up plastic tires, wobbly axles. Replaced model-for-model — or upgraded to real rubber grip.

Charger issues

Dead charger, melted port, mystery beeping. Tested, replaced, and safety-checked so it never cooks a battery.

Something weirder? Bring it anyway — mystery gremlins are our favorite. Get a ballpark price in 60 seconds.

No mystery, no runaround

How a rescue works

Four steps. You never wonder where your ride is or what it’ll cost.

  1. 1

    Book online

Pick an evening or weekend window on the schedule page. Takes about two minutes, zero phone tag.

  2. 2

    Drop it off

Roll (or carry) the patient into the garage. Exact address is texted over once your slot is confirmed.

  3. 3

    Approve by text

You get a straight quote by text — no surprises, no upsell. Say go and the $25 diagnostic fee is waived.

  4. 4

    Pick up + victory lap

Leave with a ride that actually rides. The first driveway test lap is mandatory — and on the house.

The story

One dad. One garage. Every ride leaves running.

Ride-On Rescue is exactly what it sounds like: a dad in Northeast Ohio who got tired of watching perfectly good Power Wheels go to the curb over a $40 fix. No service counter, no ticket queue — the person you text is the person holding the screwdriver.

Every ride gets the same treatment as my own kids’: a proper diagnosis, quality parts, and a test drive up and down the driveway before I tell you it’s done. It started with one dead Jeep on trash day. It hasn’t stopped since.
